Description:
The Vallée Blanche is a legendary descent and an absolute must-do for any skier visiting Chamonix. This iconic 20 km route takes you through the very heart of the Mont Blanc massif, offering an unforgettable journey across vast glaciers framed by dramatic peaks, towering seracs, and intricate ice formations.

This is a full day of adventure, high-mountain atmosphere, and the unique experience of travelling through one of the world’s most stunning alpine environments. The descent is suitable for intermediate to strong off-piste skiers and does not require extreme skills—only comfort on ungroomed snow. As a certified IFMGA mountain guide, I will ensure safety, proper route finding, and a rewarding experience from the top all the way back to Chamonix.

Not included:

• Ski touring skis or splitboard rental
• Avalanche gear rental (beacon, shovel, probe) if not owned

Gear to bring:
Ski / Backcountry Gear

• Alpine or freeride skis (ideally 90–110 mm underfoot)
• Helmet (strongly recommended)
• Goggles + sunglasses (category 3–4)

Safety Gear

• Avalanche transceiver (DVA/Beacon), shovel, probe
• Climbing harness, carabiner + cord sling
• 25–30 L backpack with ski-carry system

Documents & Other

• Lift pass for Aiguille du Midi
• Insurance covering off-piste skiing
• Cash/card for a café stop on the descent (optional)
