Climbing Mont Blanc on skis is one of the most iconic ski mountaineering objectives in the Alps. A long, demanding alpine ascent rewarded by a ski descent from Europe’s highest peak. This program is suitable for experienced ski tourers with solid fitness, glacier travel experience, and good skiing control in steep terrain.

What You Need to Bring
  • Ski touring equipment (skis with skins, boots, poles)
  • Helmet
  • Avalanche transceiver, shovel, probe
  • Warm layered alpine clothing
  • Waterproof jacket and pants
  • Gloves (at least two pairs)
  • Goggles and sunglasses (high protection)
  • Small backpack (30–40L)
  • Water and high-energy snacks
  • Headlamp

The hut must be booked in advance — it is strongly recommended to do so at least 1–2 months before the ascent, as places fill up quickly during the season.
