The Aiguilles Rouges massif is one of the best places in Chamonix for high-quality granite climbing with spectacular views of Mont Blanc. The area offers routes for all levels — from complete beginners to experienced climbers looking for beautiful multi-pitch lines.

This program is a perfect introduction to alpine rock climbing or a great way to progress toward more advanced alpine routes.

Program (adapted to your level & conditions)

Day 1 — Rock Climbing in Aiguilles Rouges

We choose the route based on your experience and goals:

For beginners:

  • Aiguille de l’Index (PD)* — ideal for a first alpine rock climb.
  • Chapelle de la Glière (AD-)* — a beautiful, friendly ridge.

For intermediate climbers:

  • Aiguille du Belvédère (AD)* — long, varied climbing with amazing views.
  • SE Ridge of the Index (AD)* — dynamic and enjoyable multi-pitch climbing.

For advanced climbers:

  • Frison-Roche*
  • Piola routes*
* modern multi-pitch lines around Brévent and Flégère.

Optional 2+ Day Extension

If you want to progress further:
  • a series of climbs increasing in difficulty
  • learning to lead on multi-pitch routes
  • training in anchors, rappelling, rope management
  • preparation for alpine routes in the AD–D range

Experience Level

Suitable for all levels — from first-timers to confident climbers.
Routes are selected individually.

€450 per day for 1–2 people.
(Lifts, transport, and rental equipment are paid separately.)
